EA Sports Update on NCAA Football

Today EA Sports revealed that they are in fact releasing the newest version of the beloved NCAA Football game THIS SUMMER, confirming what many have been speculating about since last year. The nice little teaser trailer didn’t show us a whole lot of game play, but the teaser did give dear ole Nebraska U some love, showcasing those beautiful scarlet jerseys getting “scanned” into the game.

I waxed poetic about the potential return of the game earlier this year amongst all the rumors of leaked release dates and features, but now we finally have confirmation from the source, and it is what we have all been waiting for. We have been deprived for a decade. Now lets just hope they didn’t fuck anything up. I, for one, think they had the game play mechanics for NCAA football dialed in almost perfectly. So please, for the love of God, do not make this game feel like Madden. NCAA football was so silky smooth.

Just give me the updates we need. I want the new 12-team CFP. Give me the brand-new realigned conferences. I want to feel the stresses of the NIL. I want the freedom to lose my shit when my 5-star QB transfers after one year because Alabama offers him more than a rookie contract in the NFL. I want a coaching carousel feature with head coaches leaving to take coordinator jobs at power five schools. I want the option to pay an analyst to steal signs of opposing teams. I want all of it! And I want it now!

In all seriousness, I just can’t wait to have the game back. I want to see all the team specific features that I have been hearing about put into action, including the custom sounds and recordings they have supposedly been collecting from universities. Hell, all the Husker commit videos feature the future Huskers in an NCAA football game. Is it a sign of things to come? Maybe Nebraska has been contributing a lot. Anyways, I can’t wait to see what more they have to reveal in May. What do you think needs to be in the new iteration?  Let us know.
