Huskers Land Hardnosed Transfer OL - Micah Mazzccua

Rhule and Co. never sleep. Storming courts by night and pulling in high level offensive lineman by day. We got another piece to the championship puzzle today with the addition of Micah Mazzccua, the interior offensive line transfer from Florida.

The 6’5” 325-pound offensive guard was a consensus 3-star prospect coming out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Md. (keeping that Rhule east coast connection alive). He was an Under Armor All-American pick during his senior year in high school and was a highly touted recruit, holding offers from the like of Michigan and Maryland in the B1G, along with a host of offers on the east coast, ultimately deciding to take his talents to Waco to play for the Baylor Bears.

Mazzccua redshirted his true freshman year at Baylor and then saw more extensive action the following two years. As a redshirt freshman, Mazzccua appeared in nine games and really blossomed during his redshirt sophomore season, appearing in 11 games, starting 10 of them at RG, grading out as the 2nd best guard in the Big XII per PFF during the 2022 season. After the 2022 season, Mazzccua entered the transfer portal, picking Florida over Nebraska. At Florida, Mazzccua started at RG in 11 of 12 games, missing the lone game due to an injury.

We at RZB believe that we got a cream of the crop type player. Maybe he realized the err in his ways when picking Florida over Nebraska last year, but all that matters is he is a Husker now, joining his brother Maurice in Lincoln. Rhule told us he likes to build his rosters from the line out and he is putting that on display with this addition. Mazzccua will add size and tenacity to the offensive line, especially on the interior. He will square up with anyone (case in point that punk bitch from Tennessee) and we need more of that on the line. Maulers. He will be battling the likes of Henry Lutovsky and Justin Evans-Jenkins, (possibly Ethan Piper depending on his decision) for a starting guard spot, however, we project him as a day one starter come kick time against the Miners August 31st. Rhule has stated he will only bring in one-year guys when he sees them contributing right away. WE MUST PROTECT DYLAN AT ALL COSTS, and this is just the start baby!
